Spanish 10 teaches the beginnings of a language and culture. The method we are using is Paso a Paso Uno which is based on multiple intelligences, a method that came out in the mid 1990’s. Students will complete a variety of assignments including answering questions, reading comprehension, oral assignments that can be done via a wave file or in person if the student wishes to do so. There will also be listening comprehension and a few short projects. A strong primary vocabulary will be taught, ranging through a multitude of themes. With no prior experience necessary, any student of any age is welcome to participate. The course is taught mainly through DVD clips, where students will practice conversations showcasing their grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Upon completion, the student will have a solid understanding of the basic language, and be well-prepared for any basic travel occasion.
