Surrey Connect is a distributed learning program and offers students and parents resources, support and instructional assistance needed to plan and deliver an effective home learner program. Surrey Connect attempts to meet the individual needs of students working at home while providing a comprehensive program that complies with Ministry of Education requirements. Ministry guidelines require that:
• Students follow the prescribed learning outcomes of the B.C. curriculum
• Learning resources reflect the B.C. curriculum
• Students have three (3) formal evaluations (reports) per year.
Surrey Connect staff work with parents to determine suitable, grade appropriate materials and strategies.
Who do We Support?
• students 5 years of age and up.
• students with unique learning needs or special needs
• home schooling families
• families traveling abroad
• sick or hospitalized students
• elite athletes, musicians, dancers, equestrians...
